Letter from the Superintendent

As you look through this site, you will see many reasons for our pride and excitement about what the future holds.As a native of Spartanburg, my serving as Superintendent of Spartanburg School District Seven is evidence of the power and impact our local public schools can play in the lives of our youth. I am humbled to be serving our students, parents, staff, and community in this capacity. I am very optimistic about the current direction our school district is heading, and I look forward to working in concert with our trustees, district and school leadership, and community stakeholders as we strive to help each of our students realize their greatest potential. Without question, District 7 has experienced tremendous educational success throughout the years and every day I continue to find evidence to support that belief. I'm proud our students strive every day to do better, and am proud our teachers and staff set the highest standards for their students and themselves.

Unquestionably, our tradition of excellence continues and our innovative offerings continue to grow. We are justifiably proud of our district-wide school choice program, our State Palmetto Achievement Awards, our impressive SAT scores, SHS's recognition by Newsweek, our new athletic facility ready to serve our community, and our recent graduates who will attend the finest universities in the country.

It is our pleasure to work for and with all students, parents, and school partners. District Seven invites the Spartanburg community to celebrate the successes of our students, teachers, and administrators. Additionally, as our district reaches for new heights, new district partners in excellence are welcome and encouraged. We ask that you, our community, will continue to work with us as we strive to make our outstanding school system an even better pathway to success.
