Back to School for Cleveland Academy
Cleveland Academy of Leadership kicked off a new school year on July 11 with a Back to School Celebration complete with school supplies, food, fun and a host of community partners welcoming families to the school.
From 3pm to 6pm the school was be buzzing with activity as parents and students met their teachers, picked up new backpacks and uniforms, and visited with service and support providers in the community.
As a Lighthouse Leader in Me school, Cleveland Academy students practice the seven habits of highly effective people every day, including the third habit, “put first things first.” Students and parents embrace this message and looked forward to the first day of the new school year, which began on Wednesday, July 12. Cleveland Academy operates under an extended calendar, which begins five weeks before the district’s other schools.
Back-to-school is a time of new beginnings, from little ones walking into school for the first time to high school seniors quickly approaching graduation, as well as the new teachers and administrators, all eager to inspire and equip. Welcome back Cleveland Academy!
