Four SHS Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

Liza Goodlett will become a part of the University of Georgia’s equestrian team, currently the number one program in the nation. Liza is the first ever Division 1 scholarship rider from Spartanburg High School. She is an outstanding rider on the state and national level. Even with her incredibly busy riding schedule Liza cheerfully finds time to give back to the sport she loves by volunteering with the H.A.L.T.E.R. program (Handicapped Athletes Learning to Enjoy Riding).
Keira Moore has accepted an athletic scholarship in volleyball to attend Gardner Webb University. Keira had a phenomenal senior year in volleyball. A performance which helped lead the Lady Vikings to their most successful season in school history. Keira was also named to the All-Region team for Region 2 AAAA.
Brad Oberg has accepted a swimming scholarship to attend Georgia Tech. Brad has had great success over his swimming career at Spartanburg High School. He is a five time varsity letterman who has earned five years at All Regions, three years at All State, and is a three time State Champion. An all-academic for three years, Brad was named to the USA Swimming All-America team and is the 2013 Herald Journal Swimmer of the Year.
Banks Wise has accepted a baseball scholarship to attend Wingate University. Banks is an honor student and has been a member of the Varsity baseball team for four years. Along with playing baseball Banks has been a member of the varsity football team for three years. Banks is also involved in Young Life and has been a Wyld Life leader since the ninth grade.
All schools have gained great players and hard workers in their respective sports, along with fine young man and women who will represent District 7, SHS and their universities in a positive and respectable way.
We congratulate them all and look forward to their future success.
