SAT Scores Above National Public School Average
Spartanburg High School Exceeds the State and National Composite SAT Scores: The College Board reported Spartanburg High School had an average SAT composite critical reading, math, and writing score of 1485, an 8 point increase over last year’s average, and 62 points above the public school state average and 11 above the national. Almost half of all seniors took the SAT. In addition, Spartanburg School District 7 was one of only eight school districts in the state to exceed the national average on SAT.

Jeff Stevens, Principal, Spartanburg High School, is very proud of his students and their SAT scores. “These results are an indication that our students are committed to academic excellence and that our district’s curriculum provides a strong base in preparing students for the SAT. Spartanburg High School has traditionally been one of the highest-achieving high schools in the state, and 2013 was no exception.”
Terry Pruitt, Deputy Superintendent said, “We are very proud our SAT scores show that our students’ performance is well above their peers. This is a great accomplishment for all of District Seven.”
