The Silent Auction Everyone’s Talking About
For a District that considers itself a family, it doesn’t take much to rally the troops. This past November, Ms. AJ Johnson, Assistant Principal at McCracken Middle School, got the kind of phone call every parent fears. Her son, Mackenzie, a recent SHS graduate and a Wofford freshman, had suffered a serious spinal cord injury and required acute medical attention. Today, while Mackenzie’s making great progress in his journey to recovery, AJ’s friends in the D7 know the road ahead is a long one. To help raise funds for Mackenzie’s care at The Shepherd Center in Atlanta the staff and students at MMS are holding an online silent auction, which opens today at 5:30pm.
You will find everything from restaurant gift cards, to a diamond necklace, Clemson Championship watch, to handcrafted furniture, original works of art, a Dabo autographed football, Lee Haney workouts, fishing with Coach Miller, a YETI cooler, vacation homes, to a complete set of braces. There are over 150 items to choose from in every price and interest area.
All you need to do is to click
to register to bid online. It’s all anonymous. Deciding on a Bidder Name is the most challenging part of the process. The auction will close on Sunday at 7pm.
