Testing Center

Mary H. Wright Elementary School students participate in a number of tests during each academic year. Below is a list of those tests and a little about each test. Should you have any questions concerning any of these tests, please feel free to email Joyce Ruth or call the school at (864) 594-4477.

iReady

The iReady Diagnostic Test is given to students in grades K-5th in Reading and Math. This test is given two times a year. The i-Ready Diagnostic Test is a computerized test that gives automatic feedback to the child and the teacher as to the students’ strengths and weaknesses in those two areas. Each student is then assigned lessons in both subjects, and students work on an individualized learning path.

INVIEW/COGAT/ITBS

These tests are part of our gifted and talented recognition test. Students in 2nd grade take the ITBS and CogAt in the fall of each year. Students in 4th and 6th grade take the InView in the fall of each year. Students in grade 2 take the Inview in the spring of each year.

SC Ready/ SC PASS

Palmetto Assessment of State Standards or PASS is given to students in grades 3-6 each year in the areas of writing, reading, math, science, and social studies. The writing portion of the test is in March of each year and the other areas are tested in May of each year
