Pine Street Graduate Scholarship Information

We are all so excited about the Pine Street Elementary School Scholarship which has been established by several classes of Pine Street graduates to honor the exceptional primary education afforded at Pine Street Elementary School and to assist worthy Pine Street graduates with their college expenses.  This scholarship was created to honor Mrs. Alexia Atkins Jenkins, a former teacher, but it is also to honor all PSS Teachers past and present who work so hard to enrich the lives of their students.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior at Spartanburg High School in the top 20% of the class who also graduated from Pine Street Elementary.  This outstanding graduate will show leadership, good character, and financial need for collegiate expenses.  (Students at SHS can learn more details by talking with their guidance counselor.)

If you would like to donate to this extraordinary scholarship opportunity, please consider making a contribution in any amount - there is no minimum required.  You can give at one of the following giving levels:

  • Pine Tree Seedling ($10-49),

  • Pine Needle ($50-99),

  • Pine Cone ($100-199), or

  • Ponderosa Pine ($200 and above).

Please send your contribution to:

The Spartanburg County Foundation, 424 East Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, SC  29302.  Mark your contribution to Fund 02215.

Thank you for your interest in honoring Pine Street Elementary School and for assisting new generations of graduates in building brighter futures!
