South Carolina has adopted a new Uniform Grading Policy. The purpose of the grading policy is to standardize grading for all courses that earn Carnegie units in South Carolina schools, including a middle/junior high school. The LIFE Scholarship requires that a student maintain a “B” average. 

Class rank will be computed based on all Carnegie units taken including those taken at the middle school high level. Computations will not be rounded to a higher number in accordance with state regulations. The administrators and guidance counselors in all the district’s secondary schools are available to answer any questions students and their families may have.
