Carver's Top Readers were honored May 3 with a party. Students enjoyed ice cream sundaes and were able to select a brand-new book to take home, thanks to a grant from Hub City Bookshop! All students who read 25 books or more this school year were also given a free cone, thanks to Brusters Spartanburg.
Sixth-grader Elijah Nesbitt read the most books this year and received a $50 gift card.
Students each quarter have the opportunity to participate in the library's ice cream challenge, to read a set number of books from various genres. This year, more than 85 students participated in the challenge.
