Literacy & Research Center

The DMES Literacy and Research Center (LRC) offers students 10,000+ books on topics ranging from picture books to computer science, philosophy, language, technology, arts, sprts, literature, history, and geography.

The DMES LRC has a strong emphasis on sharing a love of reading with students, teaching students how to research safely and effectively in our digital world, and to be successful independent learners.

The DMES LRC plays a vital role in our school’s literacy efforts by creating excitement about books through book fairs, reading challenges, and by challenging students to develop a lifelong passion for learning.

All K5-4th grade DMES students visit the DMES LRC on a weekly basis, and 5th grade students visit on an open schedule.
