Enrollment
In Spartanburg District 7, bonds don't end with graduation. Whether you graduated last year or 50 years ago, Carver High and Spartanburg High School alumni are Vikings for life and we want you to stay connected.
There are many ways to be active and engaged members of the D7 community, to stay in touch and reconnect with your classmates, and keep up to date about alumni events - please see the resources below and also visit our Community Resources page for much more.
If we can be of any assistance to you, please don't hesitate to email Erika Shoolbred, Director of Information Services.
Go Vikings!
As you and your classmates start to plan your Class Reunion, please let us know so we may post Class Year, Reunion Date, and Contact Information. Please reach out to Erika Shoolbred at 864-205-2004 or Email Erika Shoolbred
Reunion Tips
The first (and arguably most important and hardest) step to planning a reunion is finding your classmates. I advise one to start with social media and professional networking sites like Facebook and LinkedIn. Create a group for your graduating class on Facebook (if one doesn’t already exist), and spread the word. You can also find and contact people and fellow alumni, for instance, on LinkedIn by clicking on “Find Alumni” in the “Connections” tab. Then I suggest locking down the date. The most popular times for our high school reunions are September and October, because of Homecoming and football games, and around Thanksgiving or Christmas, when classmates are already home for the holidays.
Then forming a committee with a chair, a treasurer, a promoter and a producer is vital. The best planned events for SHS reunions use online ticketing platforms like Eventbrite or Ticketbud.
When reunion details have been finalized they can be shared here, and we encourage planning committees to also continue to use social media.
