Spartanburg School District 7 and Chartwells K12 have been working in partnership for 30 years to serve the safest, highest quality meals that students love to eat. We are committed to using fresh, locally sourced, minimally processed, and nutritious ingredients that provide students with the necessary fuel to be successful in the classroom. Our Café Teams also provide fun and engaging programs and events that provide nutrition education, exposure to new and different foods, and help promote healthier food choices.

The Chartwells Philosophy: Serving Up Happy & Healthy! Food is a big part of everyone’s wellbeing and students need a place where they can recharge, connect with others, and enjoy a sense of happiness while enjoying a tasty meal. That’s why we create innovative programs that encourage fun and discovery. Most importantly, we believe happy cafés start with our people. Our goal every day is to make sure students leave the café happier and healthier.

We have wonderful news for our D7 families: EVERY student can enjoy a FREE breakfast and lunch each school day, thanks to the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program!

The CEP Free Meal applies to full meals only (for more information on what makes a meal, please visit Back to School with MyPlate). 

Parents will not need to submit free and reduced lunch applications. Please note, families are still responsible for unpaid meal balances from prior years (these may be paid in full or by making payments) and for the cost of any special sales items, such as extra meals. These may be purchased with cash or through available funds from students’ accounts. If a student wishes to have more than one meal, USDA regulations require any additional meals sold to students to be at the adult meal price.

Adult meals are available for purchase at the following prices:

• Breakfast: $3.20

• Lunch: $5.30
