Take a bow, Rebecca Anne Schledwitz, you are The Best Singer in the District!
This past Saturday night, an excited crowd gathered to cheer on the 12 finalists competing for division winner honors for D7’s elementary, middle and high schools and The Best Singer in the District title.
Three division winners received trophies. Finley Sloan from Pine Street Elementary won the elementary division, Rebecca Anne Schledwitz from McCracken Middle won in the middle school division, and Sarah Kate Hogshead won in the high school division.
The People Choice award and Best Singer in the District award went to Rebecca Anne Schledwitz, 7th grader at McCracken. She received a $500 scholarship and will compete for the State title among participating districts on November 4.
